Horses are on the chain, by the chain.Huh?
Chained Horses are randomly generated NFTs on ethereum.They are 100% on chain, meaning all the metadata will be generated when you mint a horse. Since they are on chain they will live forever, they will only cease to exist if ethereum goes down, or if you burn your horse.
On chain? Isn't all NFTs on chain?
On 99% of every NFT released you host metadata and the image on either your own servers or on something called IPFS.Both can unfortunately be manipulated after you have bought an NFT, the IPFS image and metadata can be "unpinned", meaning they remove the data from the shared storage. The self-hosted servers, well they can be even more manipulated after a release.

When a chained horse is minted it will be generated by a function that is in the contract, in the code which anyone can review. You can follow along in every turn.Read the contract on etherscan
The chained horse will save its attributes as numbers on the chain, these will map to attributes and svgs on the utility-contract , which is also open and viewable on the chain and was deployed together with the token. The connection between these contracts cannot be severed and therefore will always show the same svgs forever and ever.
Why?

Minting?
Minting will cost 0.02eth per horse.Minting opens Thursday 28th October at 19.00 UTC.
If you where an owner of an Overweight Giraffe the 18th October at 18.30 UTC, you get to mint 20 horses for free + gas.
Since you're minting a horse that will live forever on the chain the gas might be a little more than your centralised projects.
Burning?
You will be able to sacrifice two horses and get a new one for 0.01eth + gas.This means that the total horses is not fixed and will be shrinking after the 10000 has been reached. Actually, since you can burn horses before all horses are sold out we might never reach 10000 horses.
